Drip Irrigation

Drip Irrigation

At AdeptAg, we offer multiple Drip Irrigation systems to help save nutrients and water consumption by placing water at the root zone, maximizing resources, and minimizing labor.

If you have done irrigation work around your greenhouses, you likely have had to deal with polypipes. One of the downsides when dealing with poly pipe for drippers is punching the holes to your desired spacing before inserting the drippers.

Let us take your labor out of the equation. At AdeptAg, we can punch the poly pipe to the spacing you need, and for an additional fee, we will insert the drippers for you, providing a precisely punched poly pipe with no downtime for your operation.

Drip Irrigation

Hanging Baskets

Hanging baskets are a key crop for many producers. Even watering for a crop that is potted and hung by the thousands, 8 feet or more off the ground, is best achieved through drip irrigation. Weighted basket pressure-compensated drippers deliver 95% uniformity across the crop. Single, double, and triple-hung system options are available. Swage pipe, pre-punched poly pipe, suspension hooks, and preassembled dripper assemblies are all available from AdeptAg. A drip system is the most cost-effective way to deliver water to all hanging baskets and wall bag production.

Potted Plants

Whether plants are grown on the ground, on a table, or out in the field, the most efficient way to deliver irrigation water is through a drip system. Drip offers uniformity across the crop and allows you to correct mistakes you may have made. If you watered too heavily with fertilizer, you can irrigate with fresh water immediately after to “flush” the substrate in an attempt to correct the mistake made. Pressure-compensated drip irrigation offers the most uniformity at a very competitive cost per plant. Drip systems are easy to install. They have a lifespan of 7 years for daily use and can last up to 20 years with seasonal use.

Hydroponic Vegetables

Large vegetable production models require proper engineering. AdeptAg has been involved in many large vegetable production projects. No grower depends on uniformity across a crop like a 25-acre vegetable producer irrigating 350,000 plants that are watered from 30 to 50 irrigation cycles per day. AdeptAg has had the privilege to work with large production growers for the past 50 years to deliver the proper system with the most uniformity to help these growers hit the targets they need to be successful.

Valve Tree Manifolds

Valve tree manifolds are designed to manually control basket irrigation and drenching. Hanging baskets are typically a multi-row, multi-level crop, grown at truss heights of up to 10 feet. Irrigating can be easily controlled with a pressure-compensated drip system, but drenching becomes a problem when we fill our mainlines with costly drench products only to use a fraction of it on the baskets. A valve tree manifold will allow for several functions. To turn a basket drip row on/off can be done at chest height and a drench can be fed into the bottom of the valve tree and lines can be selected without wasting product. AdeptAg custom-designed valve trees are shipped preassembled to growers’ requirements for easy installation.
