Burro Grande

BURRO Grande is a heavy-duty, indoor/outdoor collaborative robot, designed to help laborers work more productively. To date, Grande has primarily been deployed in towing applications for nursery and greenhouse customers. However, Grande is well-suited for countless other carrying and towing applications.

No matter how complex Grande may be under the hood, we know that it must be practical,
durable, and easy-to-use.

How the Burro Grande works

Burros use 24 sensors, including cameras, Lidar, and high-precision GPS, to navigate indoors and outdoors. Burros can run on “digital train tracks” through complex settings, all day long, even if GPS is not available. They use AI to understand their surroundings and safely travel through tall weeds and branches, and stopping for real obstacles and people.

Tires

18×8.5-10 R4 tires for traction and stability on concrete, gravel, dirt, and mud

360 Degree 3D Lidar

Lidar sees 40 meters / 120 feet, 360 degrees around each Burro Grande, enabling safe obstacle behaviors, seamless indoor and outdoor navigation, and runtime dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn

Motors

4 Wheel drive, with each wheel independently driven with a built in Brake, for traction on concrete, gravel, mud, and beyond, while towing and carrying heavy loads

Batteries and Range

48V 10 kw batteries, and a charging system that charges from empty to full in <12 hours enables Burros to haul 1000+ lbs for 15+ miles, and to tow up to 5000 lb loads indoors and outdoors for 15+ miles between charges

Hitch and Payload Tray

Standard Hitch with a 2-inch receiver & a Large flatbed that can fit standard pallet sized loads

5.8 MPH Top Speed

Burros can travel over 5 MPH, although users can set limits to slower speeds depending on site conditions, and some software features are limited to slower speeds to ensure safe operation.
